I bought 2 silver laced Wyandotte batams a couple of weeks ago. It took about 45 mins to get there. I thought they were gonna be the bigger version. Not the smaller version. But I had driven so far so I went ahead and got them.
My chickens are free range chickens but I'm scared to let the batams out. I don't know if after being in the coop for 2 weeks that they'd go back at night.(meaning scared to after being locked up for so long).
When's a good time to start letting them roam like the others? Thanks!

I have both bantams and standard birds, and they all free range as much as possible. Your birds must be really cute!
Are they already integrated into your flock? Are they adults? Checked over for parasites?
I always integrate new fully feathered chicks that I've brooded when they are free ranging. The chicks are already living in the
'chick section' of my coop, so they know where home is. they go out when I can watch them, and interact with the adults while supervised. I make sure that they get in at night, and usually they come in early, to their familiar space.
There are plenty of feeders and waterers, so everyone can eat and drink.
Bantams are more vulnerable to raptors especially; I have lost more bantams that way, and nearly no big adult birds.
Pictures!

Well then! They won't be going out until I get a better run built! I've had 2 silkies and 2 smaller birds killed. Being that I bought these myself, it would hurt My feelings so bad if I lost one! Pics don't give them justice. They're smaller than they look.
