Hi everyone, I'm back with my SLW again. He has me stumped. I bought him 5 weeks ago at TSC as a pullet, but I'm not sure. He carries himself very upright, and his wattles are large, but his comb is tiny, but still Orange. Also, he is a single combed Wyandotte. I will be keeping him either way, I don't need cockerl pity, I love this little guy.

I'm thinking cockerel.

It depends on the mom. My silkies would let their babies get under them even after they were grown. My most recent broody (cochin x ameraucana) kicked them out at around 6-7 weeks old.

She didn't even hatch them lol, they had gentle exposure to her, and one night she took them under her wings, and that was also the night they stoped sleeping in the brooder. His brother is a Brahma, and she has been trying to kick him out for some time now lol.
