Below are some pics of my young Silver Laced Wyandotte who I am suspicious may be a rooster. I know it is hard to tell and Wyandottes are no exception but I though I would put it out there to see what others may think. The young Wyandotte below is around 8-9 weeks old. I also have an Aracuana which is 10-11 weeks old that I'm pretty sure is a hen.

Any way, if anyone could give me their opinion that would be great!

I HAVE UPDATED THE PHOTOS BELOW

Really hard to tell with these pictures, but if I had to make a guess, I'd guess both roosters. You will be able to tell for sure if their tailfeathers and sickle feathers are curved downward. If so, they are both roosters. If straight---hens! Whatever your outcome, Good luck!

Are these saddle feathers? They sure look like it to me. I have 5 of these guys and they all are growing these feathers.

They are easter eggers as far as I can tell. The breeder of course called them ameraucanas.

Please help. Thanks.

How sure are you about the age of the wyandotte? At 8-9 weeks old, I would lean towards it being a pullet. However, usually they are fully feathered by that age... If it's a few weeks younger than that, it could go either way.

The araucana looks male to me due to the width and size of the comb.

I'd actualy say there females. My two slw hens had 0 comb till like 7 months. And the Roo had small points at like a couple weeks. It also does depend on what comb they are gonna have. If there gonna have big ones the females might get little bumps early. Mine have funky combs lol
