Silver Laced Wyandotte - Hatchery - 5.5 weeks old.
This is my first SLW, and her tail feathers look so BIG compared to my other breeds.
Any thoughts on whether she/he is pullet or roo?
Thank you!

I have golden-laced wyandottes, and my 15+ week old girls don't have a comb that big. I think I'd lean cockerel on that little cutie-pie.

I'm thinking that's a cockerel, the comb is reddening and the wattles are forming. I think I see pointy hackles (at the base of the neck) and the rooster sickle feathers look like they are coming in.

It is a hen. It is hard to tell in the pic but the comb is yellow.

Here is a another pic. The one in the background. See the comb how thin and still yellow.

So, if the top part is wide and dark pinkish or red their roos? If that's the case all 4 of mine are roos..Guess I'd better get some pictures on here and see what you all think....sigh...and the SLWs are the friendliest of my 8. 4 others being Australorps...I take one of them out and he/she rests on my chest and sometimes almost falls asleep with me petting/scratching him/her...
