Silver Laced Wyandotte question

Edit: I just realized this thread is quite old....but in case anyone is interested...

My SLW girls (also from TSC back in April) are about 17 weeks old now and I would not call the black coloring on them 'lacing' at all. They are more like white birds with odd black polka-dots. Still pretty birds, but compared to the two GLW girls I got at the same time, they are growing up to be much smaller and if you didn't know I got them on the same day, you would think that they SLW girls are much younger - they have not even started developing any combs or wattles at all while the GLW girls definitely are. They are not nearly as 'filled out' as the two GLW girls I have either - the GLW girls have beautiful lacing and perfect combs and are almost twice the size of my SLW girls. All my girls are all beautiful, but sadly most of mine will never be 'show girls' either...and that is ok :).
