I purchased it as a “she” and “she” is about 5-6 months. No crowing but doesn’t look like a pullet to me... very skittish and gets beat up on but can’t have Roos where I’m at so trying to figure it out beforehand any possible crowing starts. Ignore my obnoxious EE in the front lol

Cockerel, nice saddle feathers coming in and long, pointy hackle feathers..... indicators you can use for future reference to determine gender. Saddle feathers will get shiny also. He's beautiful

Handsome young cockerel. Here are pics of my SLWs. Cajun and his girl Smokey. (named for the flavor they will be cooked !) LOL They are 6 1/2 mths.


Cajun has been crowing for almost 2 months now. A good month and half.
