So these are my 2 SLW, Both are almost 6wks. I have just moved them outside and it is still a little chilly so their body language is not totally accurate. I am sure one is a roo but hoping at least one is a pullet. So tired of straight run biting me in the hind quarters~ Wyandotte A has a comb that is slightly indented and not as red as B, but those wattles freak me out. I have heard that SLW have different feathering patterns, namely white shoulder caps for males, not as much for females. Anybody heard of that before? HELP!
 
I've never had wyandottes, so I'm not an expert about what they would be, but the do look like they're both roos to me...
 
Yeah 6 weeks then they are roos. My GLW got a red cob like that pretty fast. So yes Roos, sorry. I bet its not what you wanted to hear.
 
Both look to be cockerels. The white wing patches should show up in the next few weeks. Wyandotte B is starting to get the beginnings of them.
