Silver laced wyandottes - Roos or hens??

Their combs, in person, are all the same color, the major difference is dot matrix, the chick in question, has never had white around her face. Size wise, the same, leg wise, the same, but the color just throws me off.

Though not the same as buying pullets and getting cockerels, our first year incubating we hatched ten chicks and 9/10 were roos. I know your pain.

The first one looks like you might get lucky. I actually have a couple of Gold Laced Wyandottes about the same age as your birds. Maybe I'll have a looksy for comparison in a few.

This one looks like a roo...that much flesh with that much red at 4 to 5 weeks of age? That's worrisome. I think this one is a roo. The other two are fleshier than I'd like, but not as much as this one. I've had my Wyandottes and Wyandotte mixes look peachy orange and drive me nuts, but when they start getting fleshy....that's a sign of a roo for me...but I've only done a few of the rose combs and Wyandottes. I'll step aside to others with greater hands on experience.

Boy I tell ya... After rehoming all 5 Roos, I'm not sure I want to go through that again! :( I really hope little dot matrix is just an early developer.

I grabbed a couple of pics for you. I dunno if it will show, but I wanted you to see how flat the little pullet's comb is.

The second pic is a cockerel at the same age.
