Was wondering if anyone did any cross breeding with a silver penciled rock rooster over their hens, and if so what they looked like. I had bought them straight run but a fox got my only SPR hen. I should figure mixed breed pullets out of this roo would be really pretty with their intricate penciling, but to be honest, don't know much about chicken genetics. I tried using the online calculator, but I still can't seem to figure out what I'd get. Some of the hens I have include black star, australorps, buff orpingtons, golden laced Wyandotte, speckled Sussex, and a standard looking EE. From what I understand, I figure any black hens would breed black, and buff is sort of a crapshoot as are EE genetics...the golden laced Wyandotte might be really interesting and speckled Sussex might produce spangling?. Pictures are welcome of your crosses!
