silver penciled wyandotte

I was afraid you would tell me that...looks like I may have a couple of boys then because they are so far behind the other little one.(different breed) at 2 weeks they have lower wing feathers...are those called primaries?? but that is it. Nothing on the tops of the wings and barely any sort of tail...hoping it is still to early to tell. Thanks...these two came from hatching eggs I had shipped from OK and were the only two to hatch...hoping for at least 1 pullet.

Thanks for answering my question

My two babies are still absurdly fluffy one has a more yellow tint to its head fuzz and is more timid The bolder is more grey all over. There are tiny little pencilled feathers coming in along side their breasts and upper back but hardly any. I am going to try to get some good pictures of them today. Combs are still flat and without color so I am encouraged by that...maybe I shouldn't be but I am

I was looking at pics of 4 week old SLW chicks and they are so mature looking by comparison. These babies confuse me.

here are shots of one of my two chicks. What do you think about sex. 4 weeks 1 day when these shots were taken.

looks like a roo nice size for 4 weeks hope you have good luck now these get bigger then all the other wyandottes

Thanks, that is what I thought too. Here is my second baby.

Pretty Birds... Is the barred a Bantam? I love the buff Colombian pattern. So pretty! How many colors do you have?

no all large the buff columbians you breed a partridge roo with columbian hen then breed a roo from them back to the hen then pick the best from them. i have partridge, white, black, buff columbian, splash, blue, sliver penciled, silver laced, barred and columbian and well start on lavender wyandottes this spring. this all started off as a few laying chickens then i meet a breed now 13 breeds but i really enjoy this hobby moved here from LA 15 years ago and just love it here
