Yes they breed true. When crossed with a coronation they produce a bird with multiple pencil lines on each feather.

besides the lavender/blue gene whats the difference between coronation sussex and the Light Sussex? whats preventin one using the light sussex instead for the multiple pencil?

Nothing, you can use light. I just had coronation on hand.
