I am new to Silverudds and recently hatched a batch. I am wondering what people's experience has been with their personality. A disproportionate number of them are unusually assertive so thinking I either got really unlucky in the cockeral lottery or is the breed just more ornery than I'm used to. Thoughts?
Is tail development any indication of a cockeral?

My Silverudd's Blue are calm and personable. The breeder I purchase eggs from calls them nosey. I've only had two hatches and haven't given much attention to tail growth but seems to me the cockerels obviously outweigh the pullets by the 2nd week. They are definitely more assertive at that age but they have all mellowed out as they grow... so far. The pullets are not as assertive in my limited experience.
). By 3 weeks you will start to see the comb/ wattle differences and more obvious leg differences
