Almost to lockdown on these eggs...and, as a side note, the hens continue to impress me with their winter laying! Today, all 3 of my SB hens laid an egg. ❤

Awesome! I hope you have a great hatch!! I can’t wait till summer when my SB hopefully start to lay. I think I have 2 pullets and 4 Roos unfortunately, I’ll have to post some pics soon to get a second opinion.

Thanks a bunch! ☺ Ah...better to know sooner than later, right? I find it fairly easy to sex SBs early - boys tend to give themselves away quickly.

An OE is pipped, too. Now, the waiting game...

Two OE hatched this morning, and multiple SB eggs are now pipped and beginning to zip. More pics to come!

The hatch is almost wrapped up...these are mostly SB with some OE (banded). The hatching basket worked perfectly to keep them separate.
