I can hardly believe what I saw this AM
I went out at 8 to check on my ladies and see if there were any eggs, Cookie my first layer as of not quite a week yet was in the nesting box. So I went back inside
Go out and hour later and there is an egg were cookie was and it looked like she was in the basket next to it with another egg
So I got the eggs and put them on our patio table and I say to my DH can she lay 2 eggs in one day better yet an hour?
Completely puzzled I go back in the chicken house and Im talk to her and looking at her(who I thought was Cookie) and then out of the corner on my eye I see cookie eating, quick glaze back at the chicken in the nesting box my second layer is Coco her sister who I was so cretin would be that last to start laying because she was the runt.
Here I was think vanilla was my mystery layer and now I know it cant be her because she wasnt in there.
Although now I feel guilty taking Coco third egg while she was in the basket I think it confused her but I thought she was Cookie and cookie now has laid 6 eggs so I thought it would be ok to take it while she was still there
Ok I better go check to make sure she not still in there confused
Just thought I would share my funny brain fart of a moment : ) that I guess you can have when you have 2 ladies that are so similar looking
