Simple Courtesy On Buying Or Selling

This is a mild rant about courtesy.


If a person says they are going to show up to buy eggs or birds, they should show up.

If they don't intend to show up, they should at least send an email saying they have changed their minds.


Eggs that are waiting to be purchased just go to waste if they are not purchased or incubated within a certain time period.


It may not be important to a buyer if they back out, but it does matter to those of us who are waiting for a person who never shows up

I agree, I hate no call no shows. I just had a guy emailing me about chicks over n over again. He seemed really interested so we set a day and time and he never showed up. The next day he emailed and said that he had an emergency n thats why he didnt show. We set up a new time and guess what? No show.

This is one reason to use the BYC Auction system for all of your transactions, even if the price is $0. If the person fails to show up, you can leave him or her negative feedback.

When dealing with local people, I have a rule. No more than 15 minutes late or it is back up for sale - no matter what it is. And when I sell eggs on the community corner, I don't hold any for anyone.

Adopt and advertise a first come first served policy on EVERYTHING. I do, and have no headache with this kind of thing. People usually show up, and quick too

We get that all the time and they always sound so suprised when they call the next day or a couple days later and we tell them it's been sold. Sometimes they don't even call they just show up - which is a pet peeve of mine. One person said "your dogs tried to bite me" my responce blew the sale right then at there......"what part of call before you come over didn't you understand?" lol
