I get this frosting buckets from local walmart for 50 cents a piece and every one can make this feeder, just drill 2.5" holes and you got it.

Our Wal Mart bakery wont sell their buckets

I was going to do something similar but a little different for our chooks, but I am not paying $5 for one of those things so we found something else to work with.

Try subway and other stors DQ , they use them for picels too.

Neat idea, but how do you keep the chicks out to keep them from pooping in it, or is it only for older birds? I'm going to have to check our local Wal-Marts now (all 4 of them) to see if they sell those buckets

Actually for chickes you make smaller hols and I put the cover on it anyway.

forgot to mention, if you want to put it on ground you can mount a heavey 10"x10" piece of wood on the bottom with screws from inside then hens can't turn it over.

I am going to try hanging a long 6-inch PVC pipe from the ceiling, attaching a pie plate to the bottom, drilling a few small holes, and filling it with feed. It will only need to be refilled now and then
