Simple Q's: Moving the tractor?

Quote:
Not everyone moves their tractors that often. Jaku packs his tractors pretty full compared to what I do. I move mine once a day. Fewer birds in a lighter tractor means you avoid having to move them so often, and avoiding damage to birds when their legs get stuck on the move. And hurting the birds would be a very big deal to me.

And that is the worst that has happened to mine. I move the tractor slowly and check every few feet or so to see if there are any legs sticking out the back (they will also definitely tell you). I have never really hurt a bird, not even make them limp, and I have heavy 8'x8' wood frame tractors.

Most I would do is 50 birds in a good size tractor, fewer in the small one you are talking about. To move them less often but have more birds, build more tractors.

And here is a link Jaku gave us a while back for a lightweight PVC tractor. http://www.pvcplans.com/

I
would encourage you to raise your birds on grass in a tractor. There is a huge difference in taste when an animal is pasture fed.
