Simple question

I'm planning on butchering my extra roos... but they're not growing very fast. I have mutts, and bantams, and standard cochins and orps, marans, all sorts of birds. The standard and bantam cochins are my oldest at 12 weeks, but they aint but half grown, big chicks, so how do I determine when to butcher?

just wait until they get to about 6 lbs, then you will have fryers, bantys, get rid of them now, dont waste feed on them, well i wouldnt, but if want them to get big, its up to you.

You don't want to wait any longer than 15 weeks to butcher, after that the meat gets tough.

I processed a bantam rooster, we skinned him and he made the best soup. Plenty of meat for a big stock pot of soup.
