Oh Bee, Dear--that is awesome! I am one of six children--my father split when we were babies and Momma raised us on welfare in the projects in the 50s. We were poor but Momma kept us in church and we turned very well and hard working. The Lord is good indeed! You know...it must have been very hard for my folks. I'm the youngest of nine children and all our clothing, bedding, furniture...well...everything was gone. I don't know if they had insurance on that old house. But something wonderful happened in our county and small community...people gave us a place to live and the donations for clothing was overwhelming. Now, this is back in the 70s and no one had much back in those days, so when folks give enough that a family of eleven people can be clothed, have beds to sleep in and have a place to live...well..that's nothing short of a miracle.
Bad things happen all the time and one can choose to get stuck on that event or in that place all their lives...or they can choose to see the good that came of it. I always try to choose the good things to remember and put the bad or painful things behind me, where they belong. It's hard to keep rolling smoothly down the road if you leave a nail in your tire, so those need to be plucked out, the tire patched and the car of our lives put back on the road if one is to get anywhere and enjoy the trip.
thanks for the pics & video, Bee was great to see. was a great experiment & i was grateful to be able to follow to a successful conclusion
cheers Pete![]()
Ok, I'm planning on getting a sunbeam heating pad for setting this up. What kind of wire did you use? 2 x 4" fencing bent? I saw that other guy's set up with board and a grill. And I do have grill but this seems more homey. Heating pad attached under the wire? Then covered?
