YES!! That's exactly what I was going for. He is super friendly too.

I did wonder if that was the Petri you meant

I think it suits him. Would be interesting to see if he learns to respond to his name

Well...he made it through the night everyone! He's still as lively as anything. He eats off our fingers and will climb right up on your palm. I have a mirror and a stuffed toy in with him so hopefully he won't be too lonely. My cousin is amazed by how small he is. I'm not letting the kids hold him until he is full sized so they don't drop him.

@shelleyd2008 if you don't mind me asking how long did your lone chicks make it until they died off? Little Peepers is almost 2 days old and is still thriving. He loves his interaction with people and he's right off my finger. I have my fingers crossed because I just know he will make a great pet.

Awwwwwwww. I'm so glad it's doing well for you!

We have a similar situation. Ours also hatched on the 19th. I had gotten 2 from a breeder on the 20th along with 8 jumbo coturnix. One button didn't make it through the night, leaving just the one.
He jumped out of his box to be in with the Jumbo. I was worried about the size diff. and separated them, again, but he jumped out of his shoe box again, that was sitting within the brooder of Jumbos.
So we left him with them, and he's doing good! Looks funny next to the big babies, but happy.
Ours is also a cinnamon.

He is fast! And hubby is calling him Zippy! I wanted Cinnabutton..lol... We'll see what it ends up. LOL!
I am going to try and find him one of his own kind this weekend.

I will be looking forward to updated pics of your sweet baby!
