single button quail chick

I'm starting to think I might have a little boy because it has red feathers around its vent lemme try to get a picture. Oh also some greyish feathers are coming in on his/her chest.

From all I've read here, it looks like a boy. But I'm learning so anxious to see what others say.

Ours still seems like a girl to me . I'll see if I can get a pic later.

I was wondering the same thing. I've been through the thread on colors and there seems to be so much to learn! I really want to be able to do right by these little birds.

Here's my one little Button. It was born/hatched the same day as the one this thread is about . Petri? was that it's name?

Were calling ours Cinnabutton or Zippy haven't decided yet. lol...

I think ours is a girl, I don't see any color around the vent.
