It doesn't make a difference if you have different breeds. As long as they are about the same size. He would probaly like a couple of girls to keep him company if you can find some this late in the season! Good luck.

Yes, breed is unimportant to chickens, a chick of any breed will provide company. And the white spot on the head only indicates males in certain breeds and crosses, so you still may have a 50:50 chance.
