UGH. The mirror did not seem to calm her down at all. She was peeping like crazy and it was that "panic" peep. I finally covered her and got her to sleep for a few hours. At 2 am, she started again. I wrapped her in a towel and slept with her tucked under my chin! Seriously- I've lost it.
I left her peeping in the carrier this am- pecking at her reflection. Poor thing. She did eat some and I dipped her beak in the water. I HAVE to go to work today- but I will have a buddy in hand for her (thanks to this board!!) by 4:00.

You've not lost it until you start carrying her around in your jogging bra and wonder why people at the store are staring at you. (Not me, but search the crazy chicken lady threads). I've been in a similar situation lately and fortunately the mirror helps- she did cuddle a little with robo-chick, but likes the mirror better. She will survive and be a happy chick soon.
If you saw my boobs, you'd understand why this bra idea is HYSTERICAL to me! There's no room for a chick in there- even a banty chick.
I've brought orphan kittens to work before. I thought that a chick was too much, though. My daughter will be SO happy when this is resolved. This woman that we are going to see seems to have a lot of chickens- many more breeds than we've ever seen- and shows them. Hopefully that will make my little girl happy, too.
