Advice please lovely people.
I had a rubbish hatch from shipped eggs and had a single chick hatch, he gets very distressed when left alone so I thought I could try him with one of my girls. One of my pekin bantams is broody, she's an old lady but not given to being stroppy.
So I bought her in this morning and popped her in the brooder box and tucked him under her wing, half hour later I can't find the blooming chick! Cue panic!
I can hear him but was worried she was crushing him. Nervous belly I know.
He is right under her tummy, he chirps a little and she makes sort of bubbling noises back to him.
Is this what we should hope for? I have attached a picture if where he is now.
I will move them to a bigger box if this works out.
