SINGLE DUCKLING- HOW DO I CARE FOR IT?!

stuffed animal just like you do inside, cardboard under the hay to help insulate against wind and keep the hay in place. If it was early spring or fall I wouldn't recommend to those who don't live where we do. Given the heat most of the country is seeing it shouldn't be a problem.

Ok great. The little ducklin is doing fine now and were planning on moving him outside tomorrow. And I recently learned that my older duck is a male and it seems that he has angel wing. His left wing is starting to stick out awkwardly but it's too small for me to do anything about. I've been noticing strange things about that Wong of his since he was 1 weeks old which was when I got him. Is there a way to fix it? I want to make sure he's a happy heathly little drake.

Thank you! That was very helpful. His wings are too small for me to tape down right now but maybe in a day or two ill do that. We were thinking about reading him into the wild when he was old enough and I don't want him to be crippled cause there are a lot of mallards around here and they love to peck at things they don't like because they torment a poor little pekin. The little duck I have is a french Rouen and the older duck with angel wing is a mallard. Will they get along right? How big will each of them get? Can they have viable eggs together that I can hatch? Thanks for all te help!

Yes they can mate and have ducklings, you mallard will be small your rouen will be larger. Please don't let your mallard loose after making him dependent on you for food and shelter, most likely he wouldn't make it. And once you introduce them with supervision they will most likely be best friends for life.

Ok I won't release the mallard. There is a flock of mallards and a pekin a mile away from my house and they're there year-round and the people in my city feed them and make sure they're healthy so that was the only reason I was going to release him. And yay! Maybe I'll have little "French mallards!" thank you guys for all the help! :)
