single goose?

geese that were hatched and raised with other geese suffer depression when removed from the flock (or have the flock removed from them) this can lead to health issues. Some become so depressed they stop thriving.
In my situation, they are 5 months old and have been living with my ducks and calls since I had them as 2 month olds. I had them apart yesterday and the one with my calls and other ducks was fine all day without the other gander. Still haven't decided fully....I would never want to hurt or upset an animal :(

Since they had ducks around them all the time, you may not have an issue, but you may as well. I would watch her closely for a week before sending the boy off. If she shows signs of depression, I would send them together.

When they are together, do they stick together as a couple at all times? Or at least 95% of the time? My girls are never separated. I mean NEVER. I have never seen one without the other. When I went to tape Rosa's wing (she had bad angel wing) Tilly was beside herself. She was honking and crying. It was very sad. On the day we re-taped, we did it beside Tilly so she wouldn't be so frantic.

If your pair are bonded, they would show the same signs of depression almost instantly when separated. At least that's my limited experience. Celtic has much more experience with geese.

ya,,they spend just about every waking moment together.(and sleeping moment)
so they would be best off together...they mirror their images !

If you are rehoming ONE, I would rehome them both together. When the one leaves the property it could become depressed. Have dealt with it before when we received a single goose in and had problems with her adjusting.

Yes - agree with Celtic on this one. Especially since you say they spent every waking and sleeping moment together.

That is hilarious. I don't think I'd separate them,
