This little chick was brought to me on March 1st, I’m guessing he hatched the day before.
There are a lot of loose hens around town that don’t belong to anyone and many of them have chicks now. This chick was found alone, and since I do pigeon and dove rescue, they brought him to me. It was during a crazy lightning/thunderstorm.

It was real touch and go the first couple days but now he is doing well and has a lot of energy, and will officially be joining our family!

Any guess on breed possibly? I know it’s probably too early to determine the sex.

Any tips on raising a single chick appreciated! He is kept indoors, with a heat lamp. We took him outside to get some clear photos 😊

(We are building a coop for getting hens next month so hoping he or she will be able to join them at some point)

He is now 25 days old and growing so quickly! Still unsure on breed (and sex) his comb doesn’t fit for a NHR but we love him so much and is a great addition to the home. 🐥❤️
