Sinking feeling about my flock...neighbor's diseases my problem?

I don't think you are treating blindly. I suggested the Corid yesterday before all of the opinions were flying around. Blood is damage in the intestines, and she could still be suffering from cocci. At her age that is the number one reason for blood in the stool. I would also give her vitamins if possible. As Judy said, after cocci there can be vitamin and upset intestinal bacterial flora after cocci. As others said, there can be resistant strains of coccidiosis. I certainly hope she doesn't have Mareks, but her main problem right now is the bloody stools. The aspirin could have contributed to it, but she didn't get much. She is going to be one little spoiled chick by Monday for sure.

@6of6chicks You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. It is evident to me that you are in NO WAY irresponsible. Quite to the contrary, you are taking every extra step and going above and beyond to do what's right for your flock in the present situation. No human is perfect or all-knowing, and as hard as we try, there is always more to know and learn. If you waited to get your flock till you knew everything there was to know, you'd never have a flock... Sometimes we get so "INTO" a problem scenario that we lose sight of the overall picture. Maybe take a step back and look at each issue individually and then see if they are all connected or separate? That way you can deal with each on it's own merit rather than getting overwhelmed...

There has been a lot of information shared here in an attempt to assist you and as with life in general, some info is contradictory... We just have to take it and do what we can with it, and make the best decisions we can based on common sense and what we believe is right and best. I hope that you get to the bottom of these issues quickly and that you and your flock can get back to enjoying life together. Best of luck!

Sorry, this will be repeating some stuff I'm sure.

The chicks were all on medicated starter?
Were they still on the extra electrolytes plus vitamins?

If still on both- wouldn't the thiamine in the electrolyte/vitamins negate the meds in their chick starter? And the Corid in drinking water? And the bolus of Corid today?

As for the bloody poop in coop. Since it was only once per day and after they'd been quiet and asleep- I'd tend to think parasites. Parasites that irritated the intestines when they weren't pooping as much nor being as active as during the day. And it's great that you have a microscope at home! Running a poop sample, even though you saw worms, must be at least a partial relief. An answer!! Now for the magic wand to wave over each chick :)

it's pertinent in this discussion. Why start a thread that will just die and the OP here won't see it?

ASA -

I think the reason that worming on a full moon was considered the best time was because you could see the birds more easily in the days before rural electrification - so you were more likely to worm them all and not double drench one.
