My 2 month old Blue Copper Maran is going on her 5th day of breathing through her mouth like she has a sinus infection (she sounds gurggly with every breath). Today one side of her face has become swollen; I've seen other similar posts but nobody gave any good or definitive answers. She doesn't have any eye bubbles or a constant runny nose(she does have some drips though), nor has she been outside in the last 2 days. I've kept her isolated from the flock with electrolyte water and VetRX and have seen no improvement. Has anyone gone through a similar experience and what did they do to get their chick better?

Will home remedies still work or does she need a vet? Here are some pictures.

What does her poop look like?

Is her crop emptying overnight?

VetRx is like Vapor Rub for chickens, it won't hurt her and may help relieve a few symptoms.

Sounds like she has respiratory illness. Which one, it would be hard to know. Mycoplasma is fairly common, so is Infectious Bronchitis.
You can try treating with Tylan50 to see if this relieves her symptoms. Dose is 0.25ml per pound of weight given orally three times a day for 5 days in a row.

Here's some reading about diseases https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/ps044
