We got baby chicks for the first time, 7 silkies. 6 Was our number but she had one with what she thought was splayed leg and she wanted them to go with siblings.
She’s been home here now about 36 hours and I’m convinced this is a slipped tendon, maybe I’m wrong?
I am willing to put in the work for her (or him) but what kind of live would it be for her?

Hi! Can you send a picture? Is it both legs or just one? There are a lot of happy ending stories about fixing slipped tendon successfully ... i am also at the moment hoping to end mine with a happy end. We are at day 3 with one of our chicks leg in a wrap...basically never put her/him down, will let you know in 2 days if she/he can now walk... could not use the left leg at all!!! Most of the advice says” don’t bother” but we wanted to give it a try... its a bit like saying “ what type of life a veteran can have with just one leg” surly the advise would not be “ just put him down” .....
