I do have Firefox add-ons. Checked my No-script, and it had indeed changed itself to blocking scripts. That's very likely the issue. I'll try a photo now.

I had this problem too when I used the [ ] text mode to adjust a quote. If the text mode is active you can’t use some of the tools like uploading photos into a message.
