Aw great . Thanks everyone for the help yesterday . Great to c movement today in two of the white eggs . The blues r a bit harder to tell but will try a few tomorrow but fingers crossed we will have new arrivals soon

Thankyou. Shes a runner duck sitting on her own eggs and some of my Peking duck eggs too that she has adopted as her own. Hopefully due next weekend all being well.

Hi guys just an update . I candled my eggs today and all but one still seems to be alive .the noticable difference this time when handling is that I can see the chicks have broken into the air sack in the eggs and I can see the beaks pecking at the inside of the egg. My dates to hatch would be correct with the progress but I'm just wondering when I should expect them to pip now that they have broken into the air sack . Should I expect any more progress tomorrow or should I candle agian if there is no change??

Ducks like to take their time, so don’t worry too much. What you saw there was an internal pip, meaning they have broken into the air cell and are now breathing. Within the next 12 hours they should externally pip, meaning they break the eggshell. After pipping, they will zip. Zipping is like pipping but all the way around the egg. Within the next 12 hours after externally pipping, they should hatch completely. Sorry if I’m over simplifying this but that’s the best I can explain it. I hope it helps.

I think if you put them back under her they will probably be fine and you should see some action tomorrow. Ducks take a long time to hatch so don't get worried.
