sitting hens, how long do they do it??

maybe my title is a tad unclear, if a hen hatches a batch off, will she do it again as soon as the first flock grows somewhat????. is it '' in her blood, to hatch chicks''??? i have a sex link that took missing for a month or so, and now i have a flock of biddies that i don't really need, or want. when these grow off, will she sit again is what i'm asking??? most folks crave a broody hen, i simply do not want one, or need one. she will be really easy to find a fine home for, as i've had people asking for one. if she will stop sitting, i will keep her, more of this tom-foolery and she is gone.

Depends on the hen, she may go broody 2x per year, she may go broody more often. If you don't want a broody, re-home her with the chicks now(usually a mom and chicks is easy to re-home), you will just get tired of fighting with her over it in the future.
