I can't find any info on this so I'm hoping you guys can help. I have 2 EEs. One has been having calcium deposits on one end of her eggs for a couple of weeks. I recently put my hens and rooster on a 20% grower feed with oyster shell out and I have to say, this phenomenon seems to coincide with the change. I read up on this and supposedly it's no big deal. Previously I wasnt sure which EE was laying like this, but this morning I got my smooth blue egg and at 4 pm, my other EE was sitting in the box, then later I checked and she was gone and didn't lay. I did walk into the coop and speak to her so maybe I just threw her off. Still, can't say I've had a hen sit in the box and not lay. So tonight I was watching her outside and she was just acting weird. Walking around the feeder but not eating. The other hend were eating and the EE are low in the pecking order so I didn't think a whole lot of it. Then later she was kind of off by herself and was walking around standing straight up. Her neck was elongated. I read online that this can be a sign of lash egg. What do you guys think? I'm worried!

More of a sign of being egg bound.
Check her out around the vent and belly.
They can act mighty odd when trying to pass a softshell egg too.

Thank you! This was my first thought then I started reading about lash egg and really freaked out! Fingers crossed for 2 blue eggs today!

I’m glad she’s laying some! Is she behaving like her usual self otherwise? Any chance it’s hot there? Are your other hens laying?
Yes very odd! 2/3 eggs in 3 weeks or so. Yes everyone else is laying, even my broody sapphire gem. She's probably about to go in a box and not come out I imagine! But my EE that's not laying, Yes she's acting normal but I have to say, my rooster prefers her and that may be stressing her out.
