Offering for sale, Bourbon Red Turkey eggs. I have one tom and four hens. The tom and two hens are from Sandhill Preservaton/Whelp Hatchery cross and two of the hens are very dark, pretty mahogany hens from Chris Maddalena (APA judge, master breeder and exhibitor of various types of poultry) The photo above is a night time, indoor shot of the Chris Maddalena birds just after they were delivered to my friend's house, so I know it is not a glamour shot, but it is the only pic I have. The hens are the dark color of the tom in the top left. They really shine with deep purple highlights in the sunshine! I will look on my hard drive to see if there are ANY other turkey pics on here. I used to have some, I know did!
All four hens are laying now and fertility has been 100% here at home. For local pickup, I will have poults available soon, First hatch should be this weekend. Only a few at a time and already have a buyer for the first ten females. If you would like to be on a waiting list for poults and are willing to come pick them up in norco/riverside area, feel free to PM me.
Anyhow... back to the eggs. Auction is for a half dozen eggs. There are 14 eggs on the kitchen counter right now, ready to go today if you move quick-like! I am averaging two to three eggs a day from that pen, so more will be available throughout the laying season. This is my first season with turkeys, so I don't know how long their season will last.
No need to bid, just PM me and I will post updates of availability on this thread. Thanks for looking and have a great hatching season!
Patty
