Six hens how many eggs a day

When they all lay how many a day do you think or have you experienced?

From my experience, I would say 4 or 5 eggs a day.
Chickens do not lay more than one egg a day though.
And chickens also have breaks from laying every once in a while.

It depends on the breeds, the age of the hens etc. Some time ago I had a mixed flock of layers, X breeds and some ex-batts, 57 hens in total and the most eggs I got per day from them was 42. Over a few months they averaged 28 eggs per day. I had a much smaller flock later, 5 Leghorns, 2 Bluebells and a RIR. They gave me 7 eggs a day quite often.
