We have a six week old wood duckling who never seemed to have a problem eating food dry. Suddenly we’ve noticed that starting this afternoon he’s not eating from his dish at all like he normally does and will only eat feed from in his water dish so it’s fully soft to the point of falling apart. There’s much fewer poops than normal but they look good. (Pictures attached at the bottom.) There was a bit of hunching earlier but we attributed it to him being in slightly colder water than normal and his tail looks normal. No vent blockage. He isn’t lethargic as of right now either. He had interest in mealworms and soggy food this afternoon too.
Should we be worried about a blockage in his stomach? Or maybe he’s just bored of his feed? We’re about to start him on vegetation like small pieces of broccoli but should we hold off until we get this straightened out? Thanks in advance!
