I have a six week old picking feathers from other chicks! Ugh! She picks and eats them. They are on countryside organics grower, they have a spot in the coop seperately from the big hens and an outside run made from two dog expens hooked together. They all have been eating grass and bugs. There is plenty of space. She will pick, eat and the others just sit there.

I trimmed her beak a bit with:rolleyes: a nail clipper. What could be making her do this?

I had an EE do this too! She was named PLUCKERS in honor of her annyonig habit. It did let up after she got older.Space, boredom, and need for more protein. That is what I recall being told back in 2010 when my EE was an 8 to 10 week old plucker.

If anyone gets a bald spot spray it well with some blue kote.Cage her for a bit if she is causing serious harm.
