Six young hens camping out

So for about a month now 6 of my younger hens have taken to camping out at night.

How old are these birds, in weeks or months?
Were they roosting in the coop prior to a month ago?
How many other birds do you have, are they still roosting in the coop?

No I give them a bowl of chicken feed when I come home from work about 1pm

So before 1 PM they only have grass?

If so, they might've wandered off in search of better forage as there's nothing keeping them "at home."

They are about 5 to 6 months old. All were roosting normally before this. I have about 15-20 birds at the moment, Most of them are in the coop at night and there is plenty of roost room free.

Yesterday, I found them back in the coop, so maybe they've decided it's enough camping now.
