I have two questions for this thread. First, does anyone have any pictures of what size a 3-week old Barred Rock Bantam should be? I have two chicks that are supposed to be this breed, and I think they are pretty small and lightweight, but their wing feathers are sooo long! They actually extend past their tail feathers and cover the entire sides of their bodies! My BSL is just slightly younger and her wings are a more normal size for her body. I have a heavy bodied buff colored one that was supposedly a Bantam as well, but she is fairly heavy and for being the same age as the BRs, her wings look like a more normal size. Any pics/advice is much appreciated!

Also, I have two White Leghorn pullets that are now 5 weeks old, and one of them is tiny. Her name is Vera, and she is much smaller and lighter than the other Leghorn. Since she is so much smaller now, will she most likely become a very small hen? She is very healthy and sweet, but I just wonder if she will always be small.

Different birds from different types and strains can all have very different growth rates. I find all leghorn chicks to be tiny and skiny.. maybe one is a rock? Or just slow. I wouldn't worry about them as long as they are happy!
