Size for chicken run

Hi I'm very new to chickens and I have a large flock of 94 chickens I got them.at 1 day old and they are now 18weeks. I need to keep them in a runtil and I was wondering what size run would be recommended for that size flock?
10sf per bird, regardless the size of the flock. Two exceptions to that:
If they're bantams, rather than standard size...you didn't say.
or
If they're let out to free range at least a few hours a day.

Oh sorry I didn't say what kind lol I have half barred rock and half asian black. They won't be out to free range I had them free range but they keep destroying my garden so I will.have to.keep them in a run.

940 sf then...happy building. Probably a whole lot cheaper, and likely easier, to chicken-proof the garden. 6 1/2' fence with poultry netting over it should do the trick. You may have to extricate a chicken from the netting a few times before the word gets out.

So here we are- First Welcome to the site!
Second, usually when the question pops up about space per chicken requirements- I always say more is better. Never go with a plan to accommodate an existing flock since ultimately almost everyone eventually expands their stock inventory.
BUT since you have 94 birds:confused:, your garden will be on "death row" if you free range- but you already have sensed that I am sure. I have a ton of birds. That is really an understatement. Will just say a bunch more than 100+ and just like you, you'll see when they run in giant packs or shall I say MOBS.. it becomes "Mob Rules". the competition is fierce. They all watch each other and are ALL waiting for the FEEDING FRENZY to begin. Like falling into a crocodile pit-- chomp chomp chomp.
Your amount of birds requires a lot more space than 4 sqft per bird to avoid trampling and weaker birds being deprived of their share during the hysteria of feeding.
You are in possession of a "sea of chickens"!
:weeIt's fun to see that amount move together and operate like a herd more than a flock.
Whatever size run you build, I still stick by my same slogan- "MORE is Better"!
