size for laying boxes?

mine are 11x12 (built to fit 2 boxes between 2 studs 24OC)

ok so yesterday i built one of the sets of boxes and..
sucess!!!
yay. and more eggs today then ever woot.

turned out to be 14wide by 16deep 16high and a front of 6.

yay i m super exited

Another milk crate guy here. My buff orps and my jersey giant don't seem to mind laying in it. (my b.o. old bethel laid her first one today)

I second Dawn. My box ( I really badly need more than one..can't wait until the new coop is built) is 12 x 14 and I was worried it would be too big, but often two of them get in there together and its fine.

And good thing to, because when the box is "occupied" and one of them really has to lay, she kicks up SUCH a fuss.
