Size of 6 Week Old Chicks?

oh i see now i miss read the question...yes they look very healthy....if you when you pick them up you can feel their breast bone..dont worry that is normal...they will eventually fill out..they are just in their growing stage that makes them skinny...then they will get fat and then skinny again and then finally they will be grown and will be beautiful healthy hens ( and roosters )

how old are chickens when the become full grown?? mine are 3 months old and i dont know how old they will be when the stop growing.

the lavender aruacana might be a rooster...I think I might see some hackle feathers comming in but not sure..I would need to see full body pics
i agree, go to my thread "lavender aruacana-people told me i have a rooster, do i?" there are full body pics there for you to look.

here are some pics of my next batch of chicks who are six weeks old, and im thinking my delaware is too small, she hasn't grown in about 2 weeks, can anyone tell me what you think?

(she is VERY squirmy and is hard to get a pic of)

(here's my other 6 wk old)

They look about normal size to me. One of my chicks has been growing quite slow from the start and is almost half the size of the others; otherwise she is perfectly healthy.

My oldest chicks are now 13.5 weeks, and I was wondering about size on some of them again.

blue wheaten ameraucana

lavender aruacana, blue wheaten ameraucana, delaware

delaware pullet

barred rock pullet (mostly focused on her)

All normal size! Mine are about the same age now too. Size can depend widely on the breed, as my Barred Rocks are bigger than my Cherry Eggers.
