When do the pullet eggs get bigger? I have a new flock this year. One of my sex links already has a double yolk, but even those eggs are small.

It generally takes 6-8 months for eggs to slowly enlarge. They will lay bigger but less eggs their second season.

It can take days, weeks.... or months for them to get up to 'large' size.

2 of my 20 week-old Pullets are laying small eggs. Small is normal at this age, right? One is a Black Austrolorp and the other is a Buff Brahma.
These little first eggs can be eaten, can't they? They've each laid about an egg a day for a week and a half.
