Chuckkeeper
Songster
Hi
I have a spare coop : https://www.eggshellonline.co.uk/product/windsor-xxl-8ft-fox-proof-chicken-coop
I have agreed to take an Orpington cockerel from a friend who can no longer keep him and would otherwise need to cull. He's 4.
I am happy to take him and allow him to live with 2 of my Orpington hens but they'd need to live in the coop above. Is this big enough for them (he would have no alternative) as long as they get to free range 1-2 hours per day?
If not, I will keep it as a spare and leave the orpingtons where they are in my larger set up which already has a cock.
I know that more space is always best but here I would need to work within my means and what I've got access to.
Any tips for introducing a mature cock to two Pol?
Thanks all
