sizzle, frizzle, and frazzle???

Pics
That's another thing I'm getting confused about. I've seen a picture of a frizzled Silkie and can see the difference between those and the sizzles. But why are some people calling what looks to me to be a sizzle, a frizzled sizzle? I don't get it. Thought it was just Silkie, frizzle, sizzle and frizzled Silkie. (And frazzle which I know is what you get with breeding two frizzles)

I'm no expert, just starting myself. But from what I've read its because there is a smooth sizzle and a Frizzled sizzle. Both are considered sizzles because they have the Silkie body type, but with the Cochin feathering. Some just don't curl backwards.

Someone plz correct me if I'm wrong!! Lol

I just got two of those yesterday (smooth sizzles) so I know what those are. But this was a regular looking sizzle, had the frizzling feathers and the frizzling crest feathers, but they were calling it a "frizzled sizzle". Why aren't we just calling it a sizzle?? Unless they are confused as to how it works lol

Ok I just got clarification that I wasn't understanding before. I get it now and it's pretty much what you said sonderah, when someone says "frizzled sizzle" they're just distinguishing the type of sizzle that it is, frizzled or smooth. I'm just used to the frizzled ones being called Sizzles. And if it was smooth I thought you just said "smooth sizzle". Got it now! Lol

i want to start a sizzle project but i dont have any frizzles, all 4 of my silkies have regular feathers on their wings, if i got a frizzle would the resulting offspring have less silkie feathering?

First generation cross would have no silkied feathers, small crest, poorer foot feathering, possible comb and skin colour issues. Better to get a sizzle that is already numerous generations into breeding than re-inventing the wheel. Especially since you don't have any frizzled birds already

how would i go about all this, i only have 4 silkies 2 of which are roosters, and im not sure if i can convince my grandparents to get me a sizzle(im 15 and most of my pet are there), especially since i convinced them to let me get 2 geese last month, i will however be giving some of my silkies eggs to my great grandpa to hatch in his incubator, im using my HUGE black roo(almost twice the size of the hen, well not that big but he is just about full size) with my buff hen( he has good skin coloring and feathering on the foot, she doesnt). But the other rooster is dominant and i dont know if he will mate with her(they are separated from the other chickens). i live in arizona btw. This is my first time trying to breed and i want to get everything right. the reason why i dont have both hens in there is because only one has started laying.

Sorry about all the jumping around i typed as i thought of it.
