Not a Sizzle with that comb, breed back to Silkie to get correct comb. We are working on getting Sizzle breed to be accepted. It must have all Sikie traits . Walnut comb not straight or v comb. Since our Sizzles were crossed with Polish(v) or Cochin (straight comb) Frizzed Chickens , we all have these combs pop up from time to time. We will be years in getting Sizzle accepted. But basically you want frizzled or smooth curled feathers, with all the traits of a Silkie except the hookless feathers.

Yeah we quickly realized it was actually a frizzled bantam cochin rooster.

You should never breed anything frizzled to another frizzle. If one is smooth feathered, you're ok.

I've been able to tell pretty quickly. The wing feathers usually come in curled right away.

That is a awesome chicken! I had frizzles and crossed them with American's to try to get the frizzle look with the pretty eggs. But sadly both babies died one of a weird tumor and my dog ate the other. So I stopped trying.
