Sizzle/Satin Genetics?

Thank you! I don't ship birds or chicks but I do sell the Satin (Sizzle) hatching eggs & you will likely hatch out all 4 feather types that are shown in my picture. I was actually one of three people that helped create the Satins & I've been breeding & showing them for a lot of years so I love to hear compliments on them. If you're interested in eggs, please email me - [email protected]. And you can read more about my eggs by going to my FB poultry page https://www.facebook.com/CaliforniaCountryRanchPoultryAndWaterfowl.
I sent you an email.

I know this is an old thread but thought I would clarify anyway. There is no such thing as a Silkie Sizzle or a Silkie Satin. Sizzles are now called Satins & Silkies & Satins are 2 different breeds & both breeds come in regular & frizzled. So you have Silkies & frizzled Silkies with non barbed fur like feathers and Satins & frizzled Satins with barbed regular feathers like a Cochin. The 1st collage below shows all 4 feather types & the last column shows cockerels in each feather type. The 2nd collage shows pullet & cockerel in each feather type with the addition of Satin Naked Necks. The birds in the pictures are +30 generations of breeding.
I’m just starting to learn the difference between a Satin and a Silkie. I started my search with Frizzles, Sizzles, and Satin Silkies, but learned that Sizzles are now called Satins and they aren’t considered Silkies. I still have a lot to learn, but your page (and comment above) have helped tremendously!
I emailed you earlier today about eggs. It was before I realized that Satins are their own breed. 😳 Sorry!

@country you have some beautiful birds. Do you have any eggs for sale? or baby chicks?
Years ago on here there used to be a place you could go to see who was selling birds/hatching eggs, but I can't seem to find it now.
I ship Satin hatching eggs so you would hatch out all 4 feather types - Silkie, frizzle Silkie, Satin, & frizzled Satin. I have a waiting list but I'd be glad to add you. You can read more about the eggs at https://www.facebook.com/CaliforniaCountryRanchPoultryAndWaterfowl & email me at [email protected] if interested. Thank you!

No need to apologize at all. There is still a lot of confusion about Satins (Sizzles) & frizzled Silkies. If you see any misinformation posted on any of the forums, you're welcome to repost my collage to show the differences. I'll check my email. If I don't get back to you, please try [email protected].
