Frizzled crossed with silkie gives you 50% frizzled and 50% smooth.
Silkie crossed with smooth gives you 100% smooth.

It shouldn't take anyone 20 generations to get a frizzled sizzle.
I would think you could do just about everything wrong and still get there in half that time.

Ex) Frizzled Cochin X Silkie= the pick of this mating would be chosen and bred back to pure Silkie to get desired Silkie traits aporox f12 to f18 + . Silkies with normal frizzled feathering Are called Frizzled Satins. And Silkies with normal smooth feathering Are called Smooth Satins, Silkies at this stage with Silkie feathering are just that, Silkies.
