I was successful I hatching 3 sizzle babies this year, I borrowed my friends Sizzle roo and I used one of my cochins. Since this is my 1st sizzles their appearance is giving me mixed thoughts on what is roo and what is pullet. Any help would be appreciated I have my guesses but still not sure.

Chick #1 My 1st guess was pullet because it feathered out first and quickly but the wattle and crest tell other wise

Chick #2 I thought Roo because of feathering but crest is fairly small and the waddles are not prominent like the 1st Could it be a slow feathering pullet? We have had pullets do it before

Chick #3 I know this has to be a girl, she turned out smooth :( but she has virtually no waddles or crest and she seems to have feathered nicely

Thanks in advance!

2 boys, 1 girl. You want to girl to be smooth IMO, but you definitely want more than one if you plan to breed them. I only keep the frizzled males, because they can cover any smooth hen with chances at frizzling. You get more with just using one than by just saving one frizzle hen.. Does that make sense?

Not sure if you want to keep or breed any frizzle males though... so that may be no help at all.
